What is the Syndicate?
The Syndicate is the voting body of the 20/20 Awards, made up exclusively of filmmakers, actors and crafts-people from the film industry. Each year we revisit the films from 20 years ago (i.e. 2014 we look back at 1994), and re-evaluate what works have stood the test of time.
What does it cost to be a Syndicate member?
Nothing. It’s free.
Do I qualify?
You must either have 1 above the line credit (according to imdb pro), or 10 years or 10 below the line credits, on a feature film that received distribution via a third party (no self-distribution).
What is a Syndicate member’s commitment?
Involvement is entirely up to the individual. We invite you to annually submit your electronic nomination ballot and voting ballot, but whether or not you do so is your prerogative, however we don’t exist without your participation. We see this as a great opportunity to rewrite history without the influence of marketing campaigns and insider cronyism.
What do you need from me?
Over the course of the year you’ll receive the periodic newsletter from us, and each season you’ll receive a nomination ballot, followed shortly thereafter by your voting ballot. In order to do so all we need is an e-mail where we contact you. Please fill out the form below, and just let us know in your email body, who you are, and that you’d like to join the syndicate.
That’s it, you’re done. We’ll send you a welcome letter and add you to the Syndicate.
And remember… it’s never too late to start thinking about the past.
